Approximately CZK 3500 more, compared to last year, brought the sale of punch at the Good Place for Life booth at the Christmas market in Olomouc. Exactly CZK 51,640 was collected in favour of the Olomouc branch of the United Organization of the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Czech Republic (SONS)! From the sale of pre-Christmas punch, the aids will be purchased that will make it easier for blind and partially sighted citizens to live, and some of the money will go to the socializing and social activities of SONS clients.
The same as last year, the offer of beverages was named after UNEX production plants: Unicov roughman (with rum), Olomouc sweet (with cherry brandy) and Sniny hardman (with plum brandy). The menu also included Christmas punch (without added “liquor”), children's punch or tea, but also something small to bite (salty strudel and bread with greaves spread). For good luck in the New Year, there were prepared horse-shoes from Olomouc foundry or gingerbread piglets.
"We are very satisfied with the yield. We did not set any goal, but we are really happy that we managed to exceed the fifty thousand limit and SONS will therefore receive more money than last year", said Irena Barboříková, marketing manager, who was the main organizer on behalf of UNEX. Together with her, seven other UNEX female colleagues offered punch and possibly products of SONS clients during the 12-hour “opening hours”. "On behalf of UNEX and SONS organization, I would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and contributed to a good cause. At the same time, I would like to wish everyone good health, well-being for entire family, and of course, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
