‘Three Brothers’ and a total of eight young ladies wrapped in many layers of clothing, including scarves and caps in corporate yellow – this was the foundation for the success of the Olomouc Christmas punch event with UNEX, during which the stand for the organisation Dobré misto pro život (A Good Place for Life) collected CZK 48,105. The proceeds will be sent to the account of the Olomouc branch of the Czech Unified Organisation of the Blind and Visually-Impaired (SONS).
And who exactly were those ‘Three Brothers’? Three types of Christmas punch named after three factories: the Uničov Tough Guy (with rum), the Olomouc Sweetie (with cherry liqueur) and the Snina Bruiser (with plum brandy). The menu at the charity stand, which on December 13th was staffed by UNEX employees, naturally also included kids’ punch and tea, refreshments and good luck horseshoes cast by colleagues at the Olomouc foundry.
The proceeds from sales of Christmas punch are earmarked for so-called social-activation services or for the purchase of aids to simplify the life of blind and visually-impaired citizens.
‘Although temperatures were sub-zero for the whole day, the mood in and around the stand was much warmer’, said Irena Barboříková from the marketing department, who along with colleagues from the marketing and personnel departments was in charge of the entire event. ‘In addition to company employees, visitors to the famous Olomouc Christmas markets also dropped by the stand. On behalf of UNEX, I would like to thank everyone for contributing to a good cause. I think the event was successful, and so we’ll look forward to coming back to the Good Place for Life stand next year’.
