Olomouc, February 4th, 2016 – The management of the engineering and metallurgical company UNEX announces that on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 concluded a new collective contract for the period of 2016 – 2018 with the trade union representatives of the Uničov and Olomouc plants.
„It is a break-through agreement the content of which we have been negotiating with the unions for several months,“ says the HR manager of UNEX, Hana Bartošová. „From the point of view of the employees, one of the crucial points of the agreement is the increase of wages and other wages claims by 8 percent in total. For the employer, the key factor were the efforts to maintain and stabilize the current number of employees, especially those on blue-collar and technical positions. We believe that the expected annual labour costs increase of more than CZK 30 million is an investment that will benefit both the employees and the employer.“
The eight-percent increase of wages and other wages claims consists of three items:
- The monthly base rate increase of CZK 500 for employees working for contractual wages. This applies to employees having worked for the company for more than a year whose wages were not increased between July 1st, and December 12th, 2015.
- The increase of the planned performance incentives by up to 3%.
- The employer’s monthly contribution of CZK 500 to the superannuation scheme or life insurance. UNEX shall start providing this contribution as of March 1st, 2016 to all indefinite-term employees who have been with the company for more than a year, have a superannuation scheme, contributory pension scheme, or life insurance contract and contribute monthly by at least CZK 100.
